| Meet Gabby |
When Melissa and her family adopted Gabby from a shelter, they chose her for a number of reasons. "She is very affectionate," says Melissa. "She was very friendly. I loved her markings and little pink nose."
Gabby the Lionheart
Melissa describes Gabby as a cat who is "adventurous and likes to lie on top of the kitchen cabinets and look out like a lioness over all that is going on in the house." According to Melissa, Gabby "is definitely the queen of the house. She is very curious and likes to be up high. She is always climbing on top of shelves and cabinets so she can observe all the action."
"Gabby climbed on top of the fridge and
started swatting at the bug like King Kong."

"During the summer," Melissa remembers, "a bug had gotten into the house in the kitchen area and was flying around the ceiling. Gabby climbed on top of the fridge and started swatting at the bug like King Kong."
"She has a ton of energy. We added a number of scratching posts and cat toys to our house but she still managed to innocently get into trouble," says Melissa. When Gabby climbs up on shelves, some of the items get knocked off - "but who could get mad at her?" asks Melissa. "She is just being Gabby."
How Gabby Gets Her Kicks
"Gabby's day starts when we are all sleeping," says Melissa. "She entertains herself by playing with a ball across the kitchen floor. She would make a great soccer player. She meows joyfully when we wake up in the morning, anxiously awaiting her dish to be filled."
"She needs mommy time in the morning and I get up early so she can sit with me for a few minutes. My husband works from home so he spends time in the morning playing with her. She looks forward to her playtime with her Dad and will meow at him during his morning routine until he plays with her."

"Gabby is a very loving cat who just likes to be with her family - and even the dog. She even will give her puppy kisses at some point during the day! She showers everyone with kisses and loves her snuggle time. She also is very playful even as she is maturing," observes Melissa.
Gabby and BLUE
"The previous cat food she was on changed its ingredients and started adding wheat flour," says Melissa."Gabby started losing fur in spots and was not as playful. Our vet told us our cat probably had a food allergy and to try a different brand." After thorough research, they decided on BLUE Buffalo. "Gabby loves the food," Melissa says. And the results show. "Her fur is soft again. She has become very playful again like she was when she was a kitten. We want only the best for her, to keep her healthy and enjoying her life with us."
