| Meet Moodus |
Moodus was born under a front porch. A colleague of Jim’s had a stray cat living there and when the cat had a litter, the friend needed to find homes for the kittens. “I took one home,” says Jim.“At the time, I lived in a small one bedroom apartment and a cat was the perfect pet.”
Then Jim moved.
Did You Spec a Built-in Cat?
“When I first brought Moodus to my new house,” Jim remembers, “there was a lot of construction going on – hours went by and there was no sign of Moodus.
“Moodus had somehow worked his
way into the walls of the house and was
too afraid to come back out.”

One of the walls was exposed and the sheet rock was missing. Moodus had somehow worked his way into the walls of the house and was too afraid to come back out. I noticed his big golden eyes deep inside the wall. I eventually coaxed him out with some catnip.”
Now that he’s settled into his new home, Moodus rarely leaves the house, “Only on those rare occasions when he scoots out when the door opens,” Jim explains. “If he does sneak outside he will spend time in the bushes around the foundation of the house eating bugs and stalking birds.”
“He will bat your face with his paw
until you wake up and feed him.”

Feed on Demand
When he’s inside, Moodus rules the house, “especially when he is hungry,” says Jim. “He makes sure everyone is up in the morning and that everyone knows he is hungry and wants to eat now!! He will walk on you while you’re sleeping – meow in your face and even bat your face with his paw until you wake up and feed him.”
“He especially likes to hang out on
people’s shoulders and lick their ears.”

Riding High
“Moodus is a needy cat,” observes Jim. “He needs to be with people all the time. He especially likes to hang out on people’s shoulders and lick their ears. He is very comfortable being held.”
Moodus may be a people lover, but he gets along well with his fellow cat, too. “When I go to work in the morning,” says Jim, Moodus will go and pounce on his sister Luna. They tend to wrestle each other from time to time.”
When he’s not wrestling Luna, “Moodus likes to eat and lounge on the window sill and watch birds” — or demand to be fed. If he’s not waking Jim up and meowing for breakfast, he’s meowing to be fed when Jim comes home from work. “He rubs up against my legs then runs to his food dish,” Jim says, “then proceeds to meow until I feed him.” You’d never know that Moodus was once a fussy eater.
Moodus and BLUE
“Moodus would tend to ignore most other cat foods on the market,” Jim says. “A friend told me about BLUE and I gave it a try. He loved it from the start and hasn’t stopped loving it!”
